Research Associate – Screening
Responsibilities:
Confo Therapeutics is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Research Associate – Screening to expand their target discovery team. Your main responsibilities are:
- You execute critical assays in early drug discovery programs.
- You run daily screening and compound profiling projects utilizing different approaches such as radioligand displacement assays, surface plasmon resonance, HTRF…
- You perform data analysis and create reports using established software tools and systems.
- You evaluate, analyze and interpret research data.
- You present data to the team and write report of the work performed.
- You handle multiple projects with overlapping deadlines.
- You support colleagues for collaborative projects.
- You ensure reliability, accuracy, robustness and high quality for data and reports.
Profile:
- Master in molecular biology, biotechnology, pharmacology or equivalent.
- Around 3 years of biotech/pharma industry experience in assay design, execution and screening.
- Strong interest in the implementation of innovative technologies.
- Experienced in biophysical (membrane) protein characterization by proximity assays (Alphascreen, HTRF), surface plasmon resonance. Experience in compound management.
- Ability to keep accurate and complete records of all scientific experiments according to SOP.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly integrated team environment where accuracy, accountability and timeliness are essential. Scientific integrity, solid analytical and problem solving skills.
- Highly collaborative, self-motivated and team-oriented individual in a small company setting.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
