iTeos Therapeutics is now a world-class biotech in cancer immunotherapy. To carry on its growth, expand its pipeline and reinforce its team, iTeos Therapeutics is looking for a Research Assistant – Medicinal Chemistry.


Responsibilities

iTeos Therapeutics is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Research Assistant to join the Medicinal Chemistry team in the Research and Development Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the synthesis and design of small molecules, and the daily lab activities.

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Conduct organic synthesis of small molecule compounds, focusing on the development of new molecules and reaction methodologies.
  • Design and optimize synthetic routes for efficient and scalable synthesis.
  • Independently troubleshoot issues encountered during synthesis by proposing creative solutions.
  • Operate and maintain specific lab equipment, ensuring proper functioning and calibration.
  • Stay informed of the state of the art of organic chemistry methodologies and techniques and propose their application to ongoing projects.

Profile

  • Bachelor or Master's in Organic Chemistry or related field with a strong focus on organic synthesis.
  • Proven experience in organic synthesis, with a deep understanding of various reaction methodologies and techniques.
  • Proficiency in operating specific lab equipment, such as NMR, HPLC, or mass spectrometry, and troubleshooting instrument-related issues.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent command of English.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Enthusiasm for bench work and synthesizing new molecules.
