iTeos Therapeutics is now a world-class biotech in cancer immunotherapy. To carry on its growth, expand its pipeline and reinforce its team, iTeos Therapeutics is looking for a Scientist – Medicinal Chemistry.


Responsibilities

iTeos Therapeutics is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Scientist to join the Medicinal Chemistry team in the Research and Development Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the synthesis and design of small molecules, and manage the daily laboratory operations.

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Design and execute organic synthesis of small molecule compounds.
  • Optimize synthetic routes and develop new methodologies to streamline processes.
  • Conduct structure-activity relationship studies to support projects from hit to lead to lead optimization phases.
  • Stay informed of the state of the art of organic chemistry methodologies and techniques and propose their application to ongoing projects.
  • Manage and maintain laboratory operations, including ordering and maintaining supplies, equipment maintenance, and ensuring a safe and compliant working environment.
  • Train and mentor junior Scientists and Research Assistants on laboratory techniques and procedures.

Profile

  • PhD in Organic Chemistry or related field with a strong background in synthetic chemistry, with 4 years of experience.
  • Excellent laboratory skills, with hands-on experience in synthetic organic chemistry techniques and instrumentation.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience in lab management, including inventory management, equipment maintenance, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent command of English.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Passion for bench work and a desire to advance drug discovery.
