Responsibilities
As Downstream & Loading Expert, you will lead bioprocess development and technology transfer for extracellular vesicle (EV) loading and downstream processes. You will optimize EV Loading and post-production purification processes.
Key responsibilities :
- Develop, optimize and scale downstream purification process for extracellular vesicles (EVs) postproduction and loading.
- Develop robust EV loading protocols for therapeutic cargo (e.g., miRNA, small molecules, proteins).
- Provide scientific, technical and engineering expertise and guidance on experimental planning, process development, and troubleshooting.
- Drive seamless technology transfer to Contract Development and Manufacturing Organizations (CDMOs), ensuring downstream and loading processes reproducibility, compliance with GMP standards.
- Collaborate with internal and cross-functional team. Oversee the transfer of bioprocess technology to GMP manufacturing.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports and present scientific results internally and at conferences.
- Coach and support laboratory technicians in experimental work while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Profile
- You hold a M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- You have 3–5 years in cell culture and EV downstream bioprocessing and/or drug delivery systems
- You demonstrate hands-on experience with microfluidics, nanoparticle loading, or EV purification is highly desirable
- You are familiar with GMP environments, process analytical technologies (PAT), and Quality by Design (QbD).
- You demonstrate strong problem-solving, multitasking, and communication skills are essential.
