For one of its key clients located in Mont-Saint-Guibert (Belgium), we are actively looking for a Mechanical Designer.
Responsabilities
As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for designing mechanical parts and complex assemblies, working closely with project and production teams. You will actively contribute to product improvement and industrialization processes.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Design mechanical parts and develop complex assemblies using SolidWorks or Siemens NX CAD.
- Create detailed technical drawings and bills of materials (BOM) for manufacturing.
- Collaborate closely with production, assembly, and engineering teams to ensure design feasibility.
- Follow up on projects from the design phase through to manufacturing.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of products and design processes.
- Incorporate manufacturing constraints such as machining, sheet metal work, or 3D printing.
- Use a PLM system for product lifecycle management (a plus).
- Perform FEA-based stress analyses using tools such as Nastran or Simcenter.
Profile
- You hold a master’s degree in mechanical or related Engineering.
- You have at least 3 years of experience in mechanical design within an industrial or production environment.
- You are proficient in SolidWorks (knowledge of Siemens NX CAD is a plus).
- You understand manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal work, or 3D printing.
- You can manage complex assemblies and produce high-quality technical documentation.
- You speak fluent French or English (both is a plus).
- You demonstrate autonomy, rigor, and a strong team spirit.
