Our client is an engineering consultancy specialized in the field of numerical simulation.

For one of its key clients located in Mont-Saint-Guibert (Belgium), we are actively looking for a Mechanical Designer.

Responsabilities

As a Mechanical Designer, you will be involved in the development of mechanical components for satellites, working closely with multidisciplinary teams. You will participate in all phases of design, from concept through testing, integrating the specific constraints of the space environment.

  • Design mechanical components for space systems, ensuring compliance with technical and environmental constraints.
  • Translate engineering requirements (thermal, RF, AOCS, etc.) into robust mechanical solutions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, preliminary analyses, and mechanical behavior simulations.
  • Prepare complete design documentation: drawings, material selection, surface treatments, analyses.
  • Define and validate mechanical interfaces with suppliers, subcontractors, and launch authorities.
  • Support teams during assembly, integration, and functional testing phases.
  • Collaborate closely with systems engineering and production departments.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and technical documentation.

Profile

  • You hold a master’s degree in mechanical, Aerospace or related Engineering.
  • You have at least 2 years of experience in 3D/2D mechanical design (CAD).
  • You are fluent in English, both written and spoken, in a professional environment.
  • You are capable of working independently while collaborating effectively across disciplines.
  • You demonstrate strong analytical skills, precision, and a results-driven mindset.
  • You have an affinity for demanding and innovative environments, with awareness of space-related requirements.
