Our customer uses their onprem infrastructure and onprem/offprem cloud services, using enterprise grade hardware and software, providing a wide variety of solutions, from replicated backups across their datacenters to crypto analysis of backups using IA. They manage on demand and scheduled DR exercises (on site and/or as a customer level).

Responsabilities

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Contribute to the design and evolution of backup architecture in close collaboration with the operational team responsible for backup, recovery, and data lifecycle management processes.
  • Be part of the design process with the involved technical, security, and development teams and guide them to provide customers with efficient services
  • Take part in presales activities to answer requests for proposals, present, and defend our customer’s Data Protection services portfolio to customers
  • Analyze the needs of customers and prospects, assess the feasibility of their projects, and advise on possible technical solutions
  • Provide solutions that are cloud-provider agnostic to meet customers’ needs and preferences
  • Identify and communicate with major stakeholders and other third parties and partners
  • Maintain/upgrade/manage their Data Protection portfolio through an innovative approach and a vision focused on market demands
  • Be responsible for operating procedures, data migration, and development operations (on-prem/off-prem)

Profile

  • Master’s degree in computer science or relevant field
  • 10+ years of experience in a similar function
  • Experience with and strong understanding of Dataprotection Tools (IBM Spectrum Protect, DELL PPDM, netbackup, veeam...) and their Cloud possibilities
  • ITIL knowledge and use
  • Knowledge of programming languages like Java, PHP, Python, PowerShell, use of RESTapi
  • Knowledge of major operating systems (Windows, Linux, AIX...)
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure: network, storage, virtualization, containers, security, HA/Clusters, databases.
  • Understand the technical aspects/restriction/security/challenges of running in a mutualized infrastructure
  • Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes/Red Hat OpenShift) is a plus
  • Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work
  • Creativity, collaboration, team spirit
  • Ability to manage and switch between multiple projects effectively.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
