For one of its key clients located in Mont-Saint-Guibert (Belgium), we are actively looking for a Structure Engineer – Mechanical Calculation.
Responsabilities
As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for performing mechanical analysis of critical components for space systems, working closely with design, assembly, and testing teams.
- Perform structural finite element analyses (FEM) on satellite or embedded components.
- Conduct static, dynamic, thermal, and fatigue simulations on complex structures.
- Interpret the mechanical behavior of various materials (metals, composites, polymers).
- Contribute to the mechanical validation of structures through simulations and test-model correlation.
- Collaborate with design, integration, and testing teams to optimize structural performance.
- Utilize simulation tools such as Ansys, Nastran, or Abaqus with high technical accuracy.
- Document analysis results through detailed and traceable technical reports.
- Apply industry standards and regulations, including ECSS, NASA, or similar.
Profile
- You hold a master’s degree in mechanical or aerospace Engineering (or equivalent).
- You have at least 3 years of experience in structural analysis in a demanding technical environment.
- You are proficient in FEM tools such as Ansys, Nastran, or Abaqus.
- You understand the behavior of materials under complex loading conditions.
- You communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken (working language).
- You demonstrate scientific rigor, autonomy, and a strong team spirit.
