Responsibilities
As Production [Engineering] Manager, you play a crucial role in supervising production processes, managing the supply chain and delivering products, all in compliance with the quality standards. Reporting to the Managing Director of the company, your objective is to ensure the company's operational objectives are achieved and that customer requirements are delivered on time.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Production & Supply Chain Management: Oversee manufacturing, assembly, stock, and procurement to ensure on-time delivery and compliance. (Operations & fabrication management)
- Production Engineering: Support design, installation, and commissioning of new machines, develop assembly processes, and drive automation and cobot initiatives. (Engineering & process design)
- Operational Execution: Actively participate in prototype assembly, testing, and production activities; manage interim operators and progressively build, train, and supervise your production team. (Shop floor & team supervision)
- Processes, KPIs & ERP: Create instructions, define control points, track KPIs, and use Odoo ERP to optimize stock and production planning.
- Supplier & Quality Management: Select, qualify, and monitor suppliers worldwide, ensure ISO 13485 compliance, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Equipment & Project Alignment: Supervise maintenance, adapt production to client projects and volumes, and manage audits and corrective actions.
Profile
- You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a technical focus (Engineering, Science, Technical Operations Management) or equivalent work experience.
- You have at least 5 years' experience in a similar role within the mechanical industry or in a similar manufacturing field.
- You have very good knowledge of quality management systems, preferably ISO13485.
- You have experience of using ERP systems (Odoo ERP is a plus).
- You are fluent in English, the official language of the company.
- You are comfortable working in a SMB environment: proactive, flexible, teamwork, and goal-oriented.
- You are hands-on, structured and have problem-solving skills.
- You are willing to travel 5% max. of the time for occasional customer or supplier meetings.
