To ensure their strong growth, we are looking for a HSE Specialist - Energy (M/F).


Responsibilities

You are the Spoc for business and external stakeholders as well as employees with regard to HSE in Belgium. Activities related to the environment (including the larger community affected by environmental hazards) and employees are included in general environmental and employee health and safety work.

Your main responsibilities are:

  • You will develop and implement policies and practices to identify/mitigate hazardous conditions within the workplace and external environments.
  • You will investigate accidents and environmental incidents and liaising with engineers, management, and health and safety regulatory authorities to identify causes of accidents and prevent their recurrence.
  • You will provide advice and training on safety protocols and conducting audits to ensure compliance with organization and government standards related to environmental and employee health and safety.
  • You will maintain relationships with the community, environmental groups, and other stakeholders impacted by the environmental performance of the organization.
  • You will answer directly to the Operations Unit Manager.

Profile

  • You hold at least a "Prevention Advisor" certificate level 2. Certification Level 1 can be done with the company.
  • You have 3 years of experience in a HSE role, preferably in the energy sector.
  • Experience in electrical engineering environment would be an asset.
  • You have experience working in an international company.
  • Being proficient in Dutch, French and English.
  • You are willing to travel between all sites in Belgium.
