Founded in 2021, Santero Therapeutics is an innovative Spin-off from ULB, active in the antimicrobial resistance. The company is anchored in more than a decade of fundamental research carried out in the labs of the Founders.

In order to strengthen Santero Therapeutics’ team based in Mont-Saint-Guibert, we are looking for a Machine Learning Scientist (M/F).
Responsibilities
As a ML Scientist, you will be a key player in our interdisciplinary team, working on cutting-edge R&D at the intersection of machine learning and drug discovery. Your work will directly contribute to the development and implementation of innovative tools and algorithms in drug discovery.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Design and implement machine learning algorithms using chemical/biological data for drug discovery.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of scientists, academic researchers, and industrial collaborators.
- Develop and optimize internal computational drug discovery pipelines, ensuring efficiency in predictions.
- Manage and preprocess chemical/biological datasets, ensuring data quality and consistency.
- Remaining up to date with state-of-the-art technology and new publications in the field.
- Presenting and communicating results on a regular basis during team or project meetings.
Profile
- Master or Ph.D. in health sciences, computational chemistry, computational biology, engineering or a related field with a focus on pharmaceutical research.
- Familiarity with Machine learning, chemoinformatics tools, libraries, and bioinformatics resources.
- Prior experience in computational drug design and pharmaceutical research.
- Strong programming skills in Python, familiarity with Linux and GitHub.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
