Enodia Therapeutics is a French-Belgian biotechnology company founded in 2025, originating from pioneering research conducted at Institut Pasteur and supported by the Argobio venture studio. Operating across Paris and Liège, Enodia develops a new generation of small-molecule therapeutics designed to control the production of disease-driving proteins at their source.

Its innovative approach is based on the selective modulation of Sec61, opening new possibilities to target proteins and disease mechanisms that remain difficult to address with conventional therapeutic strategies.

Enodia is currently advancing a growing preclinical pipeline across inflammation, immunology and oncology, with additional opportunities in virology.

Following a €20.7 million Seed financing round in early 2026, Enodia is entering a new phase of growth and expanding its scientific teams in Paris and Liège.

Joining Enodia means becoming part of a fast-growing biotech, working at the forefront of science and drug discovery, and contributing directly to the development of a novel therapeutic approach.

Role

Enodia Therapeutics is looking for a creative, scientifically curious and rigorous Research Scientist to play an active role in our discovery and preclinical programs.

The successful candidate will develop a deep understanding of the biology of Enodia’s targets and contribute to the design, execution and interpretation of experimental research aimed at advancing our understanding of target biology, drug mechanisms and selective Sec61 inhibition. The role will involve developing and optimizing relevant experimental models, assays and approaches to address key scientific questions.

Working closely with scientists and interdisciplinary project teams, the Research Scientist will generate and critically analyze scientific data, translate findings into hypotheses and next steps, support project decision-making and contribute to the advancement of Enodia’s growing pipeline. The position reports to the Lab Head.

Main responsabilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of the biology behind targets of interest by monitoring scientific literature and contribute to the development of novel systems to explore their therapeutic potential.
  • Design and execute experimental plans aligned with program objectives according to standard operating procedures, with a minimum expected time in the lab of 50%.
  • Develop, optimize and validate assays and experimental workflows.
  • Generate datasets to support decision-making at all levels of project development.
  • Critically analyze, compile and summarize data for presentation at project team meetings.
  • Collaborate effectively across functional groups and share biological knowledge and target understanding within interdisciplinary project teams.
  • Document experimental activities and results appropriately (ELN, reports, presentations).
  • Demonstrate strong project ownership, proactive problem-solving and a willingness to stay with problems until solutions are found.
  • Actively contribute to certain aspects of lab management as required.

Profile

  • PhD in Immunology or a related field.
  • Typically 3+ years of relevant research experience in biotech/pharma or a first experience gained through a postdoctoral position in an industrial environment.
  • Expertise in relevant immunology techniques, including primary cell isolation, immune cell-based assays, advanced flow cytometry and cytokine analysis.
  • Understanding of OMICS approaches is an asset; additional relevant scientific skillsets will also be considered.
  • Ability to generate hypotheses and propose experimental approaches and next steps based on results.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Scientific curiosity and commitment to high-quality research.
  • Rigorous and detail-oriented, with effective time management and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.

Offer

  • A stimulating position within a high-potential innovative biotech company.
  • The opportunity to work in a science-driven, dynamic, respectful, and professional environment.
  • A challenging scientific and business growth in which you get to bring your knowledge and skills.
  • An employment agreement contract with an attractive salary package in line with the position responsibilities and your experience.
  • Position based in Paris, with easy access via Metro Line 14.
