Responsibilities
As Operations & Innovation Manager, you ensure the smooth running of operational activities and guarantee alignment between commercial needs, production and customer requirements. You combine production management, people management, quality, continuous improvement and innovation, working closely with management and internal teams.
Your main responsibilities are as follows:
- Plan and coordinate production according to customer orders and ensure compliance with deadlines and OTIF targets;
- Lead the production team and set priorities to ensure the efficiency, continuity and quality of operations;
- Oversee production and testing equipment, including its setup, maintenance and continuous improvement;
- Ensure that products comply with customer specifications and that the FSSC 22000, BRC and IFS quality standards are applied;
- Analyse operational and quality issues, identify their root causes and implement lasting corrective actions;
- Work with the sales teams and customers to assess the feasibility of requests and provide suitable technical solutions;
- Lead innovation and continuous improvement projects, particularly those related to materials, applications, processes and industrial performance;
- Manage investment projects and technical suppliers, in particular for new machinery, automation and international partners.
Profile
- You hold an engineering degree or equivalent experience gained in an industrial or production environment;
- You have a good understanding of production processes, ideally in the packaging sector or in an environment with high quality requirements;
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a pragmatic, results-oriented approach;
- You are organised, flexible and able to handle several priorities at once, including in situations that call for responsiveness and composure;
- You communicate easily with a wide range of people, at operational level as well as with management, customers and suppliers;
- You are fluent in Dutch and English; knowledge of other languages is an asset.
